At 13:05hr on Friday 13 March 2020, Seahouses Inshore Lifeboat was requested to launch by UK Coastguard, to assist a small 15ft pleasure craft aground on rocks at Beadnell Bay. The boat had been high and dry on the rocks since shortly after launching at Beadnell, and the two occupants were now attempting to re-float the craft on the incoming tide.

Due to the breaking surf on the incoming tide, the occupants of the boat were concerned for their safety, and requested assistance. The ILB was dispatched by road to launch at Beadnell. On their arrival at Beadnell, the casualty vessel had re-floated safely without assistance, so the Inshore Lifeboat was stood down and returned to station.
