By AsianYachting Multimedia
20th Nov 2019: Sailors were greeted with a 10 knot South Easterly land breeze, blue sky and flat seas. PRO Simon James fired off the first race on schedule, for all classes and everyone merrily set off in different directions. Two catamarans have joined in, Multihull Class 7 and completed this years lineup. Unfortunately half way up the windward leg, the wind started to fade and an agonising drift for the five Racing Class yachts and after an hour, the race was shortened at the top mark. A breeze line appeared on the horizon and drifted in from the West. This enabled the Racing Class to start moving and all five boats crossed the line within minutes. The rest of the classes embarked on a point to point harbour race and were also held up during the change over and when they returned to the finish, HH The Raja Muda Of Selangor, skippering the Beneteau 44.7 Fujin crossed the line in first place, well in front, to become the first Royalty to score the daily double in any class.
